Counselling for All

Hello, I am an experienced professionally qualified, Relate trained relationship counsellor with a private practice in beautiful, tranquil surroundings in Cranbrook, Kent. My aim is to provide you a safe, caring, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to talk about your thoughts and feelings. I will work with you to develop strategies and understanding of your own and others’ needs. It may be you are experiencing a crisis or just having concerns which seem trivial, however these concerns if left can build to create significant difficulties. I offer both short-term and long- term therapy to ensure my clients receive the process that meets their personal needs.

About Me

Hello, my name is Sally.

I began my path to become a counsellor by initially studying Psychology in which I gained an BSc Hons and MSc. It was whilst studying that I developed an insight into counselling and became passionate about how effective counselling can be. With this is in mind I embarked upon further training with Relate to become a fully qualified registered counsellor. I spent another three years studying and gaining practical experience to obtain a Masters in Relationship Therapy allowing me to work with Individuals, Couples, Families & Young People 11-18yrs. I am married and have 5 grownup children.

How I work

I am a Relationship Counsellor and I use an integrative approach using systemic and psychodynamic theories to inform my practice. I also draw upon other approaches such as Transactional Analysis (TA), Narrative approach, Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioural Theory. I have discovered through experience having a wide range of tools to draw upon to use with my clients allows me to work effectively whatever their presenting issue is. Sometimes we feel a lack of control over events in our lives, but we do have a choice over how we respond to them. Counselling can help make the right choices for you.
